We advance businesses by helping them find workforce solutions so that they thrive in these challenging times. We collaborate with businesses, economic development agencies, the community college, and other partners to help businesses stay competitive and provide good jobs to local residents. Through the support of industry consortia, we help businesses access resources and provide the platform for the sharing and networking that is so vital to business growth.

Incumbent Worker Training
Incite Inc. supports incumbent worker training and offers an annual calendar of workshops and events to consortia member companies. As an organization, we believe incumbent worker training will help advance & retain workers in skilled, living wage occupations. For example in the past two years over twenty five individuals have received or are in the process of receiving credentials in the areas of: Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, Quality Auditing, Human Resources, Project Management, and Geometric Dimension and Toleracing. The people that received credentials by participating are now expected to give back by training other incumbent workers within the manufacturing sector. This will eventually build a sustainable training network within the business community. The Sustainable Training Network ensures we will always have resources for business regardless of the fluctuation in our own funding.
On-the-Job Training is a hire first reimbursement program that can help offset the cost of hiring and training a skilled workforce. The program is available to employers who have a need for skilled employees but are having a difficult time finding skilled employees. The employer receives a percentage of wages reimbursed based on a predetermined training plan and time frame. From the trainee’s perspective, on-the-job training is a great way to gain employment for which he/she needs additional training to acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to perform the job.
The Willamette Valley Project
Local partners from economic development, Oregon manufacturing extension partnership and workforce development groups are uniting forces to strengthen manufacturing in the Mid-Willamette Valley. This new collaboration will focus on opportunities for collaboration, innovation and supply chain management.
The initiative will provide our communities with strategic planning, capacity building, technical assistance and workforce development resources to help them become more attractive locations for business investment.
Encourage re-shoring of productive activity by U.S. firms
Foster increased foreign direct investment (FDI)
Encourage foreign and domestic companies to keep or expand their businesses and jobs in the U.S.

Mid-Willamette High Performance Consortium
Incite staffs and supports industry consortia that include the Mid-Willamette high Performance Consortium, the Human Resources in Manufacturing Consortium, the Industry Consortium Steering Committee, and the Mid-Willamette Valley Staffing Association. Bringing businesses together to work in consortia leverages resources, reduces workforce training costs, creates coordinated solutions to workforce and economic development issues. Working together contributes to the competitiveness of the whole region rather than just one company.
Businesses working within a consortium also provide a network for learning exchange opportunities. Companies working together in a consortium enhance competitiveness across an industry sector and help grow and retain a healthy economy.
With the restructuring of consortia and the addition of a “new” Industry Consortium Steering Committee, we believe as though business is now in the driver’s seat, rather than in a position to acceptance. Rest assured the Industry Consortium Steering Committee is engaged and active and helping guide the work we do on a daily basis!
