The six WorkSource Oregon Centers in Albany, Dallas, Lebanon, McMinnville, Salem, and Woodburn are the hub of services to adults through WIOA in our region. Thousands of employed and unemployed residents come through the Center doors seeking services. Some find jobs quickly, and others take advantage of workshops and training activities to enhance their employability. Specialized activities include On-the-Job Training, vocational training and the availability of the National Career Readiness Certificate, a nationally recognized certificate providing objective documentation of an individual’s skills. The Oregon Employment Department (OED) is the primary partner in the WorkSource Center activities, and the services of WIOA and OED are offered by staff in a collaborative and efficient system.
In July 2013, Oregon’s Governor mandated by executive order that all Workforce Boards in Oregon competitively procure for adult services in the WorkSource Centers. Incite released a request for proposals in January of 2014, and awarded the contract for services in June of 2014.
In May of 2015, WorkSource Oregon Operational Standards were released, with Local Leadership Teams being responsible for implementing and monitoring the standards. The objective of the WSO Operational Standards is to ensure a consistent level of quality services in each of the WorkSource Oregon Centers statewide.
