30 Day Public Comment
Below is a link to the proposed Youth Services Eligibility Policy that defines eligibility limitations surrounding funding through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This policy is open for public comment until September 24th, 2015 and will be voted on by the Mid-Valley Workforce Board at the September 25th meeting. HEAR JANE’S STORY
Jane has been a steady visitor to our center over a few years. She has not been able to secure a stable self-sufficient job. After talking to her in the WorkSource Oregon Resource Room, she expressed her desire to finish up her degree in accounting. She really seemed to be trying. I reviewed her job applications plenty of times before they were submitted. She also expressed her need to have a position local and close to a bus route due to no car. Her worry about her financial situation and her inability to receive any more student loan money…
